Merino Innovation takes award!

The Merino Innovation website, owned by Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) has received the AIMIA Award for the Best Corporate or Business-to-Business site.

The Merino Innovation website was developed by Sydney-based creative brand development business Devotion. The company, working with AWI over 2 years specialises in the online environment.

The AIMIA (Australian Interactive Media Industry Association) Awards are the peak Awards for the Interactive Media and Digital Content sectors in Australia, and year after year continue to deliver a strong and innovative showcase of award winning Australian digital content creations.

Pascal Senkoff, General Manager of Apparel Development and Marketing at AWI said, “To have our website recognised for such a prestigious award is a great achievement for AWI. It confirms that AWI is presenting a unique, innovative, and impressive communications tool for retailers, manufacturers, and designers looking to source information on Australian Merino wool.”

A judging panel of over 120 Australian and international experts from across the interactive media spectrum were given the significant task of selecting award winners from a high calibre of finalists, ranging from small businesses to larger, well-established organisations.

2007 saw an impressive combination of talent and innovation enter the awards. AIMIA has honoured 22 winners at its 13th annual awards ceremony.

Over 500 industry leaders, international and national interactive media celebrities, as well as federal and state ministers attend the awards ceremony each year.

AIMIA CEO John Butterworth said, “This year’s range of award entries clearly indicates how digital content has become a part of everyday society.
